Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to come join our team as an Outreach Worker at Rediscovery Independent Living! We are an independent living program that houses young men and women ages 18 to 24 years old in small efficient-type apartments or shared living housing. Our program is designed to support the youth we serve as they become successful and productive community members. Salary: Starting at $23/hr Sign-on Bonus: We are offering a $1,000 sign on bonus ($500 paid after 3months of employment and another $500 paid after 6 months). Schedule: This is a full-time position that requires travel 3 to 4 days a week in the Waltham, Worcester and Lowell areas; 1 to 2 days in the office in Needham, MA. Mileage reimbursement provided! We Provide The Training So That: •Learn about our mission and culture. •Period of time for orientation; specific to the site and individuals-served. •Learn to use your case management skills to help find housing for program participants. •Accompany youth to appointments and support them in their goals. •Be an effective role model while able to set limits and form appropriate relationships with clients. Requirements: •Must be 21 years or older. •Bachelor's degree in social services or related field is preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required. •Experience working with older at-risk youth and young adults (17-23 y.o.) preferred. •32-40 hours per week with occasional nights and weekends ensuring all youth needs are met. •Bilingual candidates able to read, write and speak Spanish proficiently are encouraged to apply! •Knowledge of the state DMH and DCF systems is preferred. •Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats. •Must have general computer skills and strong financial literacy skills. •Must have an active driver's license. •Background and driving record checks will be performed.
