Pomona is a member of The Claremont Colleges.POSITION SUMMARY: The Office of Admission at Pomona College is seeking Admissions Outside Reader for the 2024-2025 application reading season. Reporting to an Associate Dean of Admissions, the Admissions Outside Reader will partner virtually with other admissions officers to holistically evaluate applications in a Committee Based Evaluation (CBE) process and make an initial admissions recommendation. CBE requires Admissions Outside Reader to read in pair with an admissions officer between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.The Admissions Outside Reader is expected to commit 30-35 hours per week. Training will take place December 10-13 and reading will take place December 16 &17, and January 6-31.QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree is required. Experience with a selective college admissions process and/or familiarity with a liberal arts curriculum strongly preferred. While this position is strictly remote, the Admissions Outside Reader must reside in California.REQUIRED HOURS: The regular hours for this temporary, full-time position, are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. Overtime, holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the College or division.ADDITIONAL POSITION DETAILS: Temporary, full-time, non-exempt, non-benefits eligible.
