Looking for an outside sales rep that has experience with petroleum or has construction contracts (builders that build housing developments, apartments, or complete renovations). The Petroleum Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing accounts within a defined territory. This role requires extensive travel to meet clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions related to petroleum products, including fuels, lubricants, and related services. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, excellent customer service skills, and in-depth knowledge of the petroleum industry.Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Business Development: - Identify and target new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.
- Conduct market research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
Client Relationship Management: - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing business and customer satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with clients to assess their satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.
Product Knowledge and Promotion: - Stay updated on product knowledge, including features, benefits, and applications of petroleum products.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to clients, highlighting the value and benefits of the company's offerings.
- Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.
Sales Administration: - Prepare and deliver sales proposals, contracts, and agreements in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline using CRM software.
- Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to the Sales Manager/Regional Sales Director.
Collaboration and Teamwork: - Work closely with the sales team, marketing, and other departments to ensure a cohesive approach to achieving sales goals.
