Building iron strong utilities for generations since 1926, we are a family-owned company with a rich history and a vital role in securing the future of America's water infrastructure for generations to come.Job DescriptionOutside Sales Representative - Eastern WA, Idaho, Montana, WyomingRepresent and promote the sale and use of McWane Ductile Pipe products to customers and prospective customers, municipal and consulting engineer specifiers. Sales territory is the Eastern Washington/Idaho/Montana/Wyoming market. Maintain positive relations with distributors and assist them in selling company products. You must live within your territory and ideally it would be centrally located to the region. This is a home-based office with travel requirements. Home office is ideally located in Boise Idaho or Spokane Washington.Responsibilities Include:Maintain, develop, expand and service customer base in assigned sales territoryPromote complete product line to potential customers/engineers/end usersIdentify current market conditions and trendsGenerate reports, prepare documents and presentationsMonitor and evaluate competitive products and companiesDeliver presentations to audiences on specific topicsSupport credit department with collecting project information and moniesProficient in reading and interpreting site drawings, plans and specificationsConduct complaint investigations and manage issues to resolutionDemonstrate proper product application handling and installation in field and officeRepresent company at trade shows and meetings while promoting products and servicesManage territory opportunities, customer information, quotes and results using Sales ForceOvernight travel including some on short noticeWe offer a competitive compensation and benefits package. Will spend a lot of time traveling. Will spend some time on construction job sites. Conduct tours through the production plant which includes molten metal areas.Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, bending, walking, may require some lifting but no more than 30lbs.Position type and expected hours of work: Full-time hours typical work schedule is 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM additional hours as needed and schedule subject to change.Travel: Will be required.QualificationsDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Engineering or Communications and a minimum of 2 years' experience in spec products or ten (10) years' experience in the utility, water, wastewater, or construction industry may be considered in lieu of a degree.Proven Sales Ability, and the ability to develop new clients into long-lasting customersAbility to build and network for new business opportunities and referralsEstablish professional relationships with customers and purchasing contactsStrong oral and written communication and presentation skillsTime and priority management is a mustProficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database usageValid Driver's LicenseClean Motor Vehicle ReportAdditional InformationPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
