Job Description:

The position is responsible for driving business results and sales in an assigned ledger primarily over the phone, with strategic customer face-to-face meetings. Builds relationships with owners, purchasers, and salesperson at all key accounts, with a focus on selling key company initiatives and strategically identified vendors. Inputs and manages an intermediate level of sales analysis within the pipeline and dashboard tools for account penetration measurement.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts phone, digital, and remote selling to customers in an assigned ledger of business.
  • Conducts periodic strategic, consultative face-to-face selling at customer's place of business.
  • Uses financial acumen to monetize and deliver targeted opportunities with base business and competitive line sales conversions.
  • Targets and converts sales opportunities with LRP impact close sales on vendor conversion initiatives and develops senior-level relationships with principal owners.
  • Conducts sales analysis, both opportunity identification and business loss prevention within reporting tools for assigned accounts.
  • Manages multiple priorities that involve customer conflict resolution with cross-functional associates.
  • Promotes effective communication with customers, both internally and externally: bids, quotes, expense completion, competitive information, trade shows, threats and opportunities, sales follow-up.
  • Understands and demonstrates the MEDCO vision and culture when interacting with customers, co-workers, and vendor partners.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in wholesale, director, or industrial markets.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
