The candidate would be expected to manage existing customer relationships, develop new relationships, and help grow the business. The primary role of the Seafood Sales Representative is to work with our customers to serve as a trusted partner for seafood and gourmet provisions. Through an engaged and collaborative style, the sales representative will build meaningful relationships with chefs and buyers, facilitate the order process, and grow their sales portfolio year-over-year. The ideal candidate is organized, professional, effective in a fast-paced environment, able to manage many accounts, and passionate about customer service and the seafood industry.
Requirements
Prospect and develop new customers, cold calling, networking as needed, while maintaining and growing current accounts.
Achieve sales goals and objectives
Consults with account base, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call/meet with existing and/or potential sales accounts.
Responsible for increasing sales through account penetration by analyzing current sales and volume, planning sales calls, and follow up.
Provide exemplary customer service, makes sales calls and presentations in the field as often as necessary to maintain a solid customer relationship and as required to increase sales/penetration
Responds timely to customer questions and inquiries; and is courteous and professional to enhance customer satisfaction.
Notify management immediately if an existing account is in jeopardy
Actively solve problems associated with sales.
Monitor customer satisfaction and takes corrective action, as needed; in an effort to retain account and improve customer service.
Maintain and complete all paperwork required for this position.
Monitor the inventory levels of products.
Skills and Competencies:
Seafood industry experience preferred
Must be able to work independently and be reliable, responsible, dependable, and fulfilling obligations
Proficient computer skills, strong excel based analysis.
Excellent organizational, sales, communication, and interpersonal skills.
