Position DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY
Develop and maintain strong customer relations in such a manner that they will purchase from Preferred to increase company sales and profit.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop new customer accounts through cold calls, working potential customer lists and contacting contractors in the area, etc.
- Maintain positive relations and increase business with current customers.
- Accurately estimate materials needed and up sale.
- Provide effective product presentation to customers.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Negotiate pricing levels with customers in a way that will encourage business and also maintain profitability.
- Obtain and record current information on customers.
- Coordinate with Sales Manager the status of quotes and orders to ensure commitment to customers are being met.
- Identify opportunities to build and sell formwork.
- Oversee the formwork fabrication process.
- Achieve growth and hit sales targets
- Performs all assigned tasks, responsibilities, and related work processes in the safest possible manner, always ensuring that a safe, accident/incident-free work environment is maintained for all coworkers, clients, suppliers, etc. at all times.
Other Duties
- Make recommendations to Sales Manager for new product lines and pricing to remain competitive in the market.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as: discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Attend relevant product training to increase knowledge as required.
- Attend and participate in relevant trade shows as required.
- Assist in collecting past due accounts payables.

Position RequirementsEducation and/or Experience
- High school diploma / GED
- 4 years of relevant product sales experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Industry relevant product knowledge – Required.
- Computer skills (typing, email, internet, Office / Excel) – Required
