Pittsburgh Post-Gazette - Sales Representative – Recruitment

Amount of Travel Required: Varies
Work Schedule: M-F 9-5:30, Entertaining is required after hours occasionally
POSITION SUMMARY:
Develop, service and maintain advertising accounts for Post-Gazette and post-gazette.com through the sale of advertising products including but not limited to ROP, special sections, special products, niche publications and post-gazette.com. Responsible for the generation and growth of new and incremental multimedia advertising and revenue for the Post-Gazette, post-gazette.com and other affiliated products. Responsible for making outbound calls to qualified sales leads with the goal of acquiring new clients who are not currently advertising.

Computer Skills
Some typing skills and computer skills preferred.
Certificates & License
Hold a valid Pennsylvania Driver's license and must have car available for work.

Excellent presentation skills, demonstrated ability to deliver sales presentations.
Proven ability to build client relationships and develop creative ideas.
Possess superior customer service skills.
Must understand the importance of voluntarily attending client and community events outside of regular work hours.
Proven sales track record.
Possess ad layout or related skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
General office environment. Will drive in all weather and conduct meetings and sales calls at advertisers locations, as necessary.
