Oven OperatorWeir ESCOOnsite2nd Shift - 1 PM StartPurpose of Role: The oven operator is responsible for heat treating castings in large ovens. The job functions include making up oven loads, charging the ovens, maintaining heat treat records, visual inspection of castings, setting oven controllers and oven maintenance. The operator must be familiar with the different alloys produced and organize oven loads according to alloy and similar section size.   • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.
  • Must have good upper body strength and flexibility
  • Must be able to walk and stand for up to 8 hours a day
  • Handles castings weighing up to 600 lbs. with the aid of a jib crane
  • Manually lift castings weighing up to 40 lbs.
  • Some driving of forklift
Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma/GED
  • Experience: Reliable work history
  • Certifications/Licenses: None
  • Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Good reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal skills
