The Security Officer is a part of a team responsible for the security and safety measures throughout the Hotel. They will maintain strategic oversight of every aspect of the hotels physical security and safety for Guests, Members, Employees, Assets and Reputation including staffing, budgets, protocols and procedures as well as crisis management. Security Officers will need to be extremely sensitive towards all occupants and workers, anticipating their needs so we can meet our standards. Security Officers will also be sensitive to everybody's needs and at times will act as a facilitator, mediator, and informant to maintain a respectful and friendly relationship between and with all occupants of our hotel. Job Responsibilities
- Assist team with responsibility to ensure the protection of guests, patrons and associates; their property, building and grounds. Enforce Hotel rules, regulations and policies as well as the departments' rules, policies and standards.
- Promote safety awareness and enforcement throughout the Resort to reduce accidents and loss by providing training as required.
- Respond to all emergency calls including Emergency Response team calls. Will assist in the Fire Command center when needed. Display complete knowledge of the fire/life System and all support systems, their functions and emergency response procedures.
- Patrol building noting and correcting safety, security, and fire hazards. Able walk/run up stairs carrying a fire extinguisher.
- Implement all policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
- Share duties in Operations Center with emergency and department phone monitoring, closed circuit television monitoring, alarm monitoring, vendor/solicitor/visitor access, and key control.
- Respond properly in any hotel emergency safety situation.
- Assist with Worker's Compensation, complete reports, and maintain a health and safety.
- Write comprehensive incident reports and conduct thorough investigations. Maintain report records, assist and follow-up on investigations, and approve reports and logs. Initiates and assists General liability reports. Promotes loss prevention through training and awareness throughout the building to reduce claims.
- Project an image of friendliness, professionalism and willingness to provide personalized services to all building occupants, workers, and neighbors, whether over the phone or in person.
- Act as a liaison with all law enforcement agencies, city and federal agencies and hotel associations.
- Respond to and mediate all non-emergency security calls, minor injuries, disputes, stressful, and complicated issues etc.
- Contain and transport items potentially contaminated in accordance with Blood Borne Pathogen program and training.
- Provide basic security services, key control, guest and function room lock problems/reprogramming, guestroom safe malfunctions, and lock out.
- Participate and take an active role in the development and implementation of the hotel's fire plan. In addition to testing the hotel's Fire and Emergency Response preparedness.
- Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Job Requirements
- At least 1+ years of security experience, preferably within Hotels
- At least High School diploma - Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
- Apply an ethical approach to the outcome of situations.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with peers, superiors and clients.
- Work in a safe, prudent and organized manner.
- Must be flexible with schedule-able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and evening/overnight shifts. This role is specifically for the third shift.
- Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
- Ability to multi-task in a high volume and demanding environment.
- Strong problem solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.

The Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta is looking for a qualified security officer who is passionate about delivering excellent service with enthusiasm! Our house security officers provide response and documentation to security and safety related incidents, insure proper preventative measures by maintaining presence and patrol of property including all guest floors as well as service areas in a professional and courteous manner. Responsibilities - Patrol the interior and exterior of the hotel, residence and office space.
- Investigate crimes and accidents occurring in the hotel and create incident reports of guest and employee accidents and incidents.
- Comply with preventative safety and security measures.
- Assist in handling of unusual guest or employee problems, such as, but not limited to noise complaints, disorderly conduct, theft, power failures etc.
- Respond and assist with all emergency situations in the hotel as necessary.
- Comply with Four Seasons' Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standard of Conduct as set forth in EmPact.
- Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Operate and control the keys, lock system, alarm system, surveillance system and fire protection system.
Minimum Requirements - High school or equivalent diploma
- Must be able to work all shifts including, AM's, PM's, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Experience required by position is minimum of 1 full year of employment in related position with Four Seasons or other organization, or Law Enforcement / Military experience.
- Requires a working knowledge of basic security procedures. Working knowledge is generally learned on the job or through professional training and certifications.
- Requires knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment.
- Ability to read and write English.
