The Intern will:
* Learn about reinsurance and applications through on the job training with consummate members of the organization
* Gain technical, analytical, and decision-making skills through formal and informal learning opportunities
* Enhance analytical skills utilizing various applications (Business Objects, MS Excel)
* Complete special projects or assignments that assist the Finance, and accounting departments
* Network with senior leaders and experienced teammates to develop and understanding of the industry as well as create professional connections
* Receive formal and informal feedback throughout the program
Required experience & competencies
Experience:
* Strong academic performance and experience working on a variety of projects
* Demonstrated flexibility in managing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously
* Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products (with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint)
Personal Competences:
* Demonstrated leadership aptitude
* Self-motivated with a desire to learn
* Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Required Education
Working towards the completion of a bachelor's or master's degree in insurance and/or Risk Management, Business, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, other business, analytical, or data related field, or advanced degree at an accredited college or university.
