Job Description:
The Part-Time Administrative Assistant will assist with the following duties:
* Develops payment requests, travel paperwork, credit card reconciliations.
* Carries out administrative duties such as filing, scanning, student record keeping, maintain calendars and/or classified documentation for federal government.
* Acts an office liaison with students, faculty and staff.
* Manages and updates databases, verify documentation, adherence to reporting requirements for grant requirement reporting.
* Maintains office supplies for office and staff.
* Assists the Director with administrative duties as assigned.
* Provides, in a professional manner, information by answering questions, requests, posts via telephone, email, mail, chat, and social media.
Requirements:
* Office experience with strong keyboarding, word processing, and database skills, with a knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
* Knowledge of office practices and procedures, including the timely processing of payments.
* Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, including a proven ability to interact in a confidential and effective manner.
* Strong ability to solve problems, prioritize and multitask office projects and meet deadlines.
* Ability to work effectively with a diverse population and contribute to a culture of respect, honor, inclusion and belonging for all staff, students, and visitors.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Knowledge TRIO or college access programs for first generation students.
* Knowledge of FERPA regulations
* Microsoft Office Suite knowledge and or AS/AA Degree or progress toward a degree preferred
Additional Information:
Salary: $23.52 per hour (hours vary, academic year) 18.5hrs./wk P/T non-benefited, temporary until 8/31/2025 grant funded
