Job Summary: Supports the Department of PA Medicine by providing management and oversight of various processes pertaining to administrative support, budget, applicant inquiries, applicant even scheduling, student registration, student records, data entry and analysis, purchasing, submitting expense reports, adjunct administration, student remediation administration, promotion of the program on social media and the program website, administration and proctoring of examinations.Duties/Responsibilities:This job description is not to be construed as an exhaustive statement of duties or responsibility requirements.   • Provides administrative support and facilitates program success.
  • Supports goals and outcomes of the Department.
  • Assists the Program Director or designee in the day-to-day administration of the Department.
  • Serves as the initial point of contact for inquiries, including program applicants.
  • Collaborate with the faculty and staff to address the needs of the Department including students.
  • Supports and documents student instruction, evaluation, and remediation/reassessment efforts.
  • Assume any other related administrative duties necessary to develop and maintain an effective program as assigned.

  • Competent in using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, concentrate, and attention to detail are necessary in order to accurately interpret information on processes, procedures, and budget information.
  • Ability to set goals, to prioritize and organize tasks and workload in order to complete assignments in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use a broad knowledge of information about the University and Department and their organizational characteristics, purpose, and philosophies.
  • Represents the University and Department in a way congruent with the mission statement.
  • Ability to write and respond to routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing, information to schedule facilities, set up, and coordinate activities.
  • Ability to establish rapport with people in a professional, collegial, and positive manner.
  • Willingness to be flexible to meet the demands of the Department and University.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all materials handled and seen in the process of performing job responsibilities.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to work with diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
Supervisory Responsibilities:Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, accepting, and directing work; appraising work performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Associate's degree in business or a related field and two years of proven administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Experience with accreditation processes is preferred.
