Job Title:PA WORKWEAR SpecialistClassification: Full-time, hourly, non-exempt from overtime provisions of Fair Labor Standards Act Revision Date: 5/22/2024 Job Purpose: The purpose of this position is to operate the PA WORKWEAR Program and provide appropriate clothing to eligible participants referred BY the County Assistance Offices and/or an approved Employment and Training provider.To maintain and ensure compliance with contract and regulations. Qualifications: The position of PA WORKWEAR Specialist is a professional position and requires a person capable of conforming to the high standards of behavior expected of all staff.Excellent work habits, including attendance and punctuality, are required. Education: Associate degree Experience: Experience in customer service, retail, sales, human services, or related field is preferred. Computer proficiency: Experience and knowledge of standard computer programs including word processing, data entry via spreadsheets, email, internet, scanning capabilities, and data management systems of record is preferred. Clearances: Must be able to obtain acceptable results for required background checks, including Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check and Department of Human Services- FBI Fingerprints. Other:The PA WORKWEAR Specialist must have a valid driver's license, with a clean driving record and dependable transportation, which can be used in the course of his/her job. The PA WORKWEAR Specialist must also have an operating telephone, so that he/she may be contacted quickly by Goodwill when necessary. Supervision Received: The PA WORKWEAR Specialist functions under the direct supervision of the Coordinator of Workforce Development, with latitude for independent action within his/her area of responsibility, in accordance with agency policy. Supervision Exercised: None Skills, Abilities, Duties and Requirements: Responsible for program operations, meeting or exceeding performance standards set by the referring agency.Coordinates provision of services with other staff, funding sources, and others who have a significant role in the individual's life. 1.Obtains a thorough knowledge of designated service area. 2.Complies with all program regulations and requirements. 3.Ensures development and implementation of activities in accordance with grant/contract requirements. 4.Provides required documentation and reporting to appropriate staff, agency, and funding sources for all services and activities in his/her area of responsibility. 5.Responsible for monitoring and operating within set program budget. 6.Implements established policies and procedures. 7.Develops and maintains positive working relationships with customers, staff, funding source, and community partners. 8.Develops training material related to appropriate interview attire, interviewing skills, employer expectations and job retention, etc. 9.Ensures files and records comply with applicable laws, standards, and regulations. 10.Provides direct service to referred individuals seeking assistance. 11.Knowledge of current best practices in the delivery of the designated mission services and acceptance ofGoodwill's Philosophy of the People We Serve. 12.Sound professional judgment, adequate to advise participants regarding work related issues. 13.Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with the population served. 14.Ability to relate effectively to others, including customers, co-workers, agency partners, and supervisor. 15.Thorough knowledge and acceptance of principles of customer service. 16.Vision and hearing corrected to within normal limits. 17.Ability to perform light duty or medium duty work, including occasional standing, for up to 8 hours each day. 18.Ability to do occasional bending, stooping, stretching, pushing, and pulling. 19.Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, (material handling equipment will be used to minimize effort expanded when practical). 20.Adhere to company policies and safety procedures and assure that customers do the same. 21.Responsible for other duties as assigned or identified, for the benefit of Goodwill or Mission Services.Some of these other duties may be considered non-essential to the position.
