We are proud of our mission, our lasting community impact, and the cultural and individual diversity of our staff.Responsibilities:* Assist in helping prepare meals in consultation with the Registered Dietitian.* Serve meals as necessary and on a timely basis.* Assist Registered Dietitian with menu planning, and ensuring all special diets ordered are served to the appropriate PACE Participant.* Follow recipes, prepare and cook food in a clean and sanitary manner.* Ensure established meal plans are prepared in line with Registered Dietitian instructions.* As directed, take note of food allergies and prepare food in line with Participants' needs.* Assist Registered Dietitian in interviewing patients to ensure personalized dietary needs are met.* Record meals served accurately, and monitor food temperatures.* Set up meal trays, food carts, etc., and distribute trays prepared to PACE Participants.* Set up and take down dining areas to ensure distribution and collection of plates, glasses, etc.* Collect and clean trays, wipe kitchen surfaces and sanitize as necessary.* Properly dispose of food waste, and ensure plates and utensils are not contaminated.* Assist Registered Dietitian to ensure all the necessary ingredients are in stock, and keep track of what is in the kitchen and what needs to be replenished.* Ensure all food procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.* Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:* High School diploma or equivalent GED Certificate required.* Food Handler's permit required.* Ability and means to travel as needed in a timely manner within San Diego County, to locations that may have limited access to public transportation; proof of liability and property damage insurance on vehicle used is required. In addition to these factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth.
