Job Description The Packager is responsible for the bagging and drum-filling operation. Ensure that the packaging containers (bags, drums, etc.) are filled and stacked evenly and straight on pallets, stencil and label bags and drums properly, stretch wrap pallets and stack them in even, straight rows. Follow direction from A Operator, supervisors, and/or management Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure each bag or container contains the proper weight of product, correct legible lot number and code, and proper markings are stamped or labeled on each bag or container.
- Keep Armac and TCP operating within operation parameters.
- Report deficiencies to the A Operator so corrective measures can be taken.
- Maintain and clean bagging and equipment daily and at before the end of shift
- Keep A Operator and maintenance informed of any mechanical problems.
- Check scale at least 3 times per shift.
- Maintain daily production records.
- Report any safety hazard or violation to management.
- Recycle product as needed.
- General plant housekeeping.
- Know and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Follow the daily production schedule for what products need to be made.
- Check with departing shift personnel as to product being made, where to stack, and any special instructions, etc.
- Assist in any minor mechanical repairs as necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Maintain awareness of food safety, regulatory and code responsibilities, know your role in meeting these requirements and be responsible to report any potential food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate corrective actions.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver s License TWIC Card Computer skills including Windows, Word, and Excel. Good oral and written communication skills. Physical Requirements:
- Potential exposure to airborne contaminants may require the employee to wear respiratory protection.
- The employee occasionally will be required to enter the process and raw material unloading areas. Access to these areas may require climbing stairs or ladders and/or traversing metal grid flooring.
- Normal dexterity is required for computer data entry and occasional use of hand tools may be required for equipment adjustment or repair.
- Heavy work. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.E., food services, general labor, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.E., inspection, etc.)
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $18.00-$20.00 per hour; however, the pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
