Job SummaryThe Packager is responsible for packaging finished products according to customer specifications and optimizing the productivity of the machine processing line. This role involves selecting and maintaining packaging materials, operating packaging equipment, and ensuring accurate documentation and safety standards.Job ResponsibilitiesPackaging: Package finished products for storage and shipment, adhering to customer specificationsMaterial Management: Select and maintain an adequate supply of packaging materials for processing and warehouse activitiesTool Maintenance: Keep a working set of tools required for packaging tasksSpecification Adherence: Read and follow both standard and special packaging specificationsEquipment Operation: Safely and properly operate manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging equipmentDocumentation: Complete and inspect paperwork, tagging, and final packaging of finished productsProduct Transfer: Move finished products to storage or shipping areas as neededSafety and Housekeeping: Maintain safety and cleanliness standards in the work area according to company policiesTeam Collaboration: Work collaboratively with processing crew members and company managementQualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or equivalent.Equipment Operation: Ability to operate overhead cranes and forkliftsReading and Understanding Instructions: Ability to read and understand work orders and written instructionsMeasurement: Utilize measuring devices such as rulers, tapes, and calipersComputer Skills: Use computer systems to print tags and manage documentatioPhysical Requirements: Ability to pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobilityReliability: Demonstrated reliable work historyAttention to Detail: Must be detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality in all inspection tasksEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
