Job Summary:The Packaging and Labeling Technician is responsible for the labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines. This role involves operating packaging equipment to ensure that target line rates are met and collaborating effectively with other functional groups to achieve production goals in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate packaging equipment (e.g., labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel, vision systems, forklift) while ensuring quality guidelines are met.
- Accurately inspect products to maintain quality standards.
- Perform equipment change-over and setup as required.
- Troubleshoot initial issues with packaging equipment (e.g., labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel).
- Ensure compliance with cGMP documentation for completeness and adherence to procedures in a timely manner.
- Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Prepare Quality Assurance line clearances for small volume lines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
- Maintain facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures.
- Cross-train in other areas within the department as necessary to meet business needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:- High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years of manufacturing experience.
- Detail-oriented with effective communication skills and a quality-conscious mindset.
- Equipment/process troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Basic math and computer skills.
Preferred Qualifications:- 5+ years of related experience in packaging and labeling.
Education: High School
