Were seeking a skilled (Hybrid) Senior Packaging Designer to bring creative vision and functional design to multiple brands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce compelling packaging that meets brand and market needs.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Packaging Design Manager in all design stages, including brainstorming, prototyping, and production.
- Develop innovative packaging systems that are visually appealing, functional, and aligned with brand standards.
- Evaluate and adjust designs for aesthetics, communication, structure, cost, and manufacturability.
- Resolve design challenges related to materials, structure, and cost without compromising quality.
- Lead cross-functional discussions, ensuring design milestones are met and project timelines are adhered to.
- Mentor junior designers and delegate tasks to support project needs.
- Conduct market research to apply consumer and trend insights into packaging design.
- Oversee project updates, file preparation for production, and vendor communications.
- Coordinate with the production team on details like Pantone matching and proofing.
- Manage multiple projects, ensuring timelines and brand representation are met.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- 58 years of experience in consumer packaging, ideally within toys or kids products.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and knowledgeable in print production (spot colors, bleeds, dielines).
- Strong visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively across departments.
- Skilled in multitasking and managing priorities effectively.
- Knowledgeable about materials, manufacturing processes, and licensed brand work.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities while maintaining project momentum.
