Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Packaging Engineer to lead package technology projects aimed at designing, developing, and transferring cost-effective, robust packaging solutions for pharmaceutical products. This role involves collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure regulatory compliance, production efficiency, and product integrity throughout the drug development and commercialization lifecycle. Key Responsibilities:
- Package Design & Development:
- Design drug product packaging by analyzing critical drug product attributes, marketing requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Develop scalable packaging technologies using engineering principles and scientific methods.
- Optimize solutions to withstand external variables such as moisture, light, heat, and handling conditions.
- Project Management:
- Lead project activities, including equipment selection, procurement, and qualification at contract packaging sites.
- Scale up packaging technologies by preparing and executing technical and financial plans.
- Regulatory & Documentation:
- Author regulatory and purchasing specifications for packaging components and processes.
- Generate development and investigational reports for materials, equipment, and procedures.
- Team Collaboration:
- Participate in or lead cross-functional project teams to achieve corporate and team goals.
- Support clinical supply packaging needs and coordinate activities for product launch.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Packaging Engineering or related field with 58 years of experience in pharmaceutical packaging or related fields.
- Masters Degree holders require 36 years of relevant experience.
- Skills & Experience:
- Strong knowledge of materials test methodology, laboratory procedures, and packaging equipment.
- Familiarity with cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical packaging standards.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
