Educations & Qualifications: Prefer high school diploma or GED. Must have basic knowledge of machine operations. Must be able to operate various production machinery touch screens and have basic computer skills. Must be able to stand up to 10 to 12 hours per day, 5-6 days per week. Must be able to operate a hand truck and successfully complete training. Must demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Essential Functions:
- Demonstrate efficient machine operating skills in and ability to monitor at least one area of the following production segments:
- Monitor Labels
- Ensure labels coming out of the labeling machine are properly placed on the jars.
- Remove any jars with bad labels and re-insert them on the production line.
- Oversee Label Room/UPS Shipments
- Pull labels from the label room daily for the following day. Ensure all label inventory is accurately recorded.
- Package any items that need sent via UPS or FedEx.
- Pull spaghetti dinner fundraising orders from the warehouse so they are ready to customer pickups.
- Restock label room when new purchase orders are received.
- Pull cases from the ware house to maintain a stock of DelGrosso brand sauces in the label room for internet/special orders.
- Tray Packer Loader
- Ensure tray sleeve full of boxes for packaging machine.
- Change and separate products to ensure proper packaging.
- Monitor machine to ensure proper operation.
- Trouble shoot and make adjustments to machine as needed.
- Cooling Tunnels
- Ensure kettle production is separated when product exits cooling tunnel machine.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of the jar's core temperature and vacuum as they exit the cooling tunnels.
- Pull unsealed containers off of the line and stand up any fallen containers.
- Monitor machine to ensure proper operation.
- Trouble shoot and make adjustments to machine as needed.
- Rinser
- Monitor machine to ensure proper operation.
- Trouble shoot and make adjustments to machine as needed.
- Successfully complete training on other production areas to obtain Level II skills.
- Accurately enter data on computer touch screens.
- Safely operate hand truck to retrieve production supplies.
- Learn to operate a handheld scanner for various uses including but not limited to spaghetti dinner fundraising orders, picking cases from the warehouse to restock inventory, picking cases for internet/special orders.
- Utilize personal productive equipment required in each area of the facility, including but not limited to: hair nets, beard nets, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hearing protection, eye protection, etc.
- Clearly and respectfully communicate with team to ensure production runs smoothly. Identify and communicate issues immediately to team and Supervisor.
- Maintain manufacturing guidelines for quality, hygiene and sanitation.
