Department: PackagingLocation: White Hill Cheese. Shullsburg, WI Job Status: Hourly: 2nd shift differential availableReports To: Packaging Supervisor Work Schedule: 2nd Shift (2pm - 10pm, Monday - Friday)DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:The Packaging Lead is responsible for the overall performance of the days as it pertains to labor management, production, scheduling, cheese yield and system flow, while focusing on safety, quality, cost and employee environment. Experience with all aspects of food safety, packaging and inventory control is a major factor in orchestrating the duties of this position. Duties include actively promoting and supporting safety and product quality program (i.e. GMP'S, HACCP, preventative controls, quality, food defense, and sanitation standards) and initiative working closely with Supervisor, QA and team members. SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITES:Manage and provide strong leadership, direction, support and development to your shift.Ensure optimum and efficient packaging schedule.Actively develop problem solving skills and initiative to consider and implement adjustments based on experience and sound judgement.Must be a team playerEmbrace and support the plant's safety program and policies to insure a safe, hazard-free working environment for all employees. Requirements:Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be in good physical condition: able to bend, lift, twist, move, stand and/or walk through entire shift. Must be able to perform repetitive tasks that often involve dexterity, using the wrist, arms, or hands.Must be punctual and reliable.High school diploma is preferred.Performs other duties as assigned.Must be able to read and write in English.Preferred: Previous related experience in food and/or manufacturing industry.
