Job DescriptionPackaging and Loading Lead (Night Shift) - Camp Hill, PA ADM Milling - Carbohydrate Solutions Position Summary: This key operational role in the packaging and loading operations at a high output, dynamic flour mill in Camp Hill, PA. This role will act as the main point of contact and party responsible for escalation to leadership for all aspects of the packaging and loading department, during night shifts. The ideal candidate will help maintain ADM's high standards for safety and quality in each department while maintaining efficient production. The selected candidates will communicate effectively with site leadership in order to support effective interdepartmental, commercial and customer relationships. They will partner with other hourly colleagues to problem-solve issues as they arise, while helping to maintain records in accordance with established ADM policies. This houlry lead role reports to the Packaging and Loading Superintendent and will work with a team of 6-15 colleagues. The selected candidate willcommunicate assignments and responsibilites as designated by the Superintendent. Job Responsibilities: Health, Safety & Environmental:
- Adhere to safety laws, regulations, rules and sound practices.
- Participate in audits, prioritizing and tracking completion of findings.
- Address unsafe behavior and conditions and escalate concerns to site leadership.
- Assist in auditing health, safety & environmental records and documentation to ensure shift complicance; escalate gaps to leadership.
- Actively participate in building safety culture and encourage peer colleauge engagement in safety culture.
- Perform hourly safety audits on shift.
Sanitation/Food Safety:
- Adhere to site sanitation standards.
- Reinforce food safety/sanitation/quality programs to hourly peers.
- Escalate quality issues in the plant; and partner with leadership to address where appropriate
- Participate in preporation for; regulatory/third party/customer/company audits.
Production:
- Escalate and partner with leadership to reduce or eliminate production barriers.
- Actively participate in efforts to reduce or eliminate waste.
- Support Performance Excellence initiatives.
- Provide technical knowledge for processes and equipment to obtain performance.
Job Requirements:
- This position is expected to work 5 - 8-hour shifts per week. Additional hours may be required based on vacation and production schedules.
- Weekend work may be required.
- Must have a strong commitment to site safety culture
- 2 years of operations experience in a manufacturing plant is preferred.
- Experience in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
- Skills in the following are preferred: leadership experience, problem solving,and effective organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Must be able comprehend and communicate orally and in writing. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is preferred.
- Position requires standing and walking for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces, and working within extreme temperatures. Working outside in varying weather conditions may be required.
