- Set-up, break-down, clean, and assemble food packaging equipment while upholding food safety standards
- Coordinates with team members to ensure efficient production schedules are met
- Assures packaging equipment (bagger, foiler, flow-wrapper) is at proper settings for functional operation
- Maintains accurate documentation of production quantities and quality verification
- Communicates and addresses machine errors and mechanical issues promptly
- Troubleshoot breakdowns and stoppages
- Uphold safety procedures and policies to ensure a secure work environment
- Follow all GMP and SQF requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience operating bagging machine and/or flow-wrapping equipment required
- Ability to read and speak basic English
- Ability to maintain accurate records and understand basic charts and paperwork requirements
- Ability to apply deductive reasoning and to carry out simple verbal instructions
- Knowledge of basic tools and ability to make simple mechanical adjustments, using basic math calculations and measurements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure proper organization of supplies and allergen tools
- Coordinate with material handlers for raw material preparation
- Participate in lot tracking systems and completion of daily checks
- Work under pressure with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the work area
Schedule
- 1st Shift - Base Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm*
- *Additional Days and Hours required as production demands
- **Holidays and Peak Seasons: Willingness to work in various departments during peak seasons
