We are currently hiring a Packaging Machinist in Breinigsville, PA.
In this role, you will be responsible for dedicated Machinist Support to the Packaging Maintenance Technicians and Packaging Maintenance Planning Technicians. The Machinist will setup and operate a variety of machines to fabricate, modify, repair, and rebuild parts and equipment to precise specifications. Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances. Install repaired parts into equipment, or install new equipment.
What you'll Brew:
* Diagnose, repair, and rebuild high-speed packaging equipment assemblies and sub-assemblies, including rinser, filler, seamer, capper, labeler, and palletizer components.
* Work with butterfly valves, mix proof valves, pumps, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and other industrial equipment.
* Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision instruments such as micrometers.
* Set up, adjust, and operate basic and specialized machine tools to perform precision machining operations.
* Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
* Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
* Support metalworking projects from planning and fabrication through assembly, inspection, welding, and testing, using knowledge of machine functions, metal properties, and mathematics.
* Promote and uphold an inclusive culture by including all perspectives and considering others in decision-making processes.
* Demonstrate the ability to manage and develop teams from diverse backgrounds, allowing all to thrive and reach their potential.
* Recommend improvements and desirable modifications to processes and equipment
Physical Requirements
* All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)
* Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test
* Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly
* Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces
* Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day
* Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms
* Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)
* Established dexterity so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision
* Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period of time and have strong peripheral vision and depth perception

Minimum Qualifications:
* 2+ years experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
* Must have a working knowledge of estimating time and materials for machine jobs
* Experience successfully diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding sophisticated industrial mechanical
assemblies
* Knowledge of metals and the quality and machinability and uses of metals, alloys and other
materials
* General knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair and maintenance,
* General understanding of design techniques
* High School or GED High school diploma or greaterd.
Level 8 In accordance with pay transparency laws,?the pay rate for this role, if hired, is $31.83 per hour.
