Job Description:
Title: Down Operations Specialist Location : St. Louis, MO Duration : 12 months contract (Temp to Perm potential for the performing candidate) Shift : 6:00-AM - 2:30-PM (flexible if needed) Pay Range : $23.00 - $25.00 USD hourly on W2. Key Accountabilities: Stage, fill (manually or semi-automatically), cap, label and over pack liquid, powder and lyophilized products per approved downstream specifications while utilizing all required safety equipment. Complete appropriate documentation per ISO procedures and deliver products to inventory. • Fill, cap and label chemical products. • Follow all quality and safety procedures. • Support quality systems. • Train others and work in a team setting. Scope of People Responsibility: • Anticipate and communicate bottlenecks and malfunction issues that inhibit process flow. • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshoot issues with the fill line/process. • Completely and accurately communicate line status, problems, and issues to incoming shift/team lead or supervisor. • Support Process Improvement efforts Education and Work Experience Basic Requirements • 2 Year Degree • Proficiency in basic mathematics such as unit conversions, multiplication/division, and calculation using formulas. • Basic computer literacy • Experience with computer systems related to business applications. • 2 years of direct manufacturing experience in a GMP/Pharmaceutical or related industry • Demonstrated experience in 5S and Lean environment. Additional Preferences • Experience in SAP ERP or relevant MRP system • Demonstrate technical skills, curiosity, and problem-solving skills. • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail. • Ability to multitask and function as an effective team member. Job specific Competencies & Skills • Good time management and organizational skills • Extended periods of standing and repetitive movements • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. with lifting equipment • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus. • Required to wear an air helmet, mask, safety shoes, apron rubber and tyvek suits, protective gloves, and safety glasses and goggles while performing in this position
