Job Title: Vial Packaging TechnicianJob DescriptionThis position works on vial packaging equipment. The position is responsible for supplying assigned positions with materials/items to complete work according to standard operating procedures. The role also involves cleaning equipment, production areas, and inspecting parts/items following prescribed procedures. The technician will provide troubleshooting on basic issues and may assist in providing training.ResponsibilitiesHandle raw materials and components appropriately and according to methods, including procurement, weighing, verification, and dispensing.Work on all assigned equipment appropriately and per established methods and procedures.Clean equipment, set up for packing, check for leaks or abnormalities, and ensure proper communication of any issues or problems immediately.Complete operational documentation per SOP.Tag, palatalize, and place all returned and rejected items as needed and required.Complete and review area production documentation and verify all documented entries are accurate, recorded in real-time, and signed as completed.Maintain open lines of communication with management, informing them of production updates including deviations and corrective measures.Exchange work status information within the department, management, and co-workers.Maintain a clean environment/work area by using appropriate cleaning solutions, prescribed methods, and schedules.Clean and sanitize required glassware by loading into washer, including documentation per SOP.Respond to equipment alarms/malfunctions immediately, identifying the alarm and reporting appropriately.Assist co-workers in the production of finished products in accordance with time limits in SOPs and/or manufacturing instructions.Receive and ship all uniforms and scrubs for cleaning.Receive and stock all garments and supplies for clean rooms and sterile core.Maintain compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and all company policies.Verify what the warehousing group is sending to production against the bill of materials.Ensure that all packaging is correct before the product is sent to customers.Inspect labels.Package vials.Document all products.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitudeQuality/Inspection experienceDocumentation experienceAdditional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDExperience in a clean room environmentKnowledge of FDA regulationsExperience with GMPsWhy Work Here?Our Client is a growing company recently acquired by Merck Pharmaceuticals, which is investing close to $40 million in upgrades, new construction, and expansion projects. Candidates will be exposed to moving parts and will work in a 'Clean Room' with no windows, well-lit, and temperature and humidity controlled. Candidates must be fully gowned from head to toe, including a hair net, beard net (if necessary), safety glasses, lab suit, gloves, and booties. The position is for the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday (four 10-hour shifts) from 7am to 5:30pm, with some flexibility. There are two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
