As the Procurement Services Specialist you will analyze raw material and intermediate needs for Delaware production to fulfill requirements of the North American Automotive Refinish business. The Procurement Services Specialist will ensure the SBU's ability to provide excellent product availability and customer service while also minimizing the working capital investment. Reporting directly to the Procurement Supervisor you will work on-site at our facility in Delaware, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Use Oracle R12 ERP application to procure and schedule receipt of production materials required by the Delaware plant, including raw materials, packaging, and intermediates. Expedite orders when needed to ensure deliveries to accommodate production needs. Forecast raw material and container usage to suppliers. Communicate known issues to production planning/scheduling and plant production. Perform ongoing review of existing inventories to ensure that inventory health remains a high priority. Identify and lead efforts to improve efforts in areas related to job responsibility. Participate on cross-SBU teams as warranted to ensure acceptable service levels to both internal and external customers. Work with the Demand Planning and Production Management teams to develop a deep working knowledge of their supply chain needs. Work with PPG Sales Management and Marketing to coordinate new product launches and branding changes, development of S&OP forecasts, and address supply chain concerns. Measure and manage supplier performance. Communicate these metrics to Corporate Purchasing to guide improved supplier reliability. Qualifications A bachelor's degree in business administration, Operations, Supply Chain or technical field is required. 2+ years of experience, purchasing experience is beneficial. Leadership to evoke action from a diverse group, many of whom do not have a direct reporting relationship to you.
