Our diverse portfolio of organic, private-label functional beverages serves top global retailers.Position SummarySchedule: Part-time, on-call, Monday-Friday. Assigned shifts may be 8 or 10 hours (must be available for both).Packaging Technicians are crucial to the production of our high-quality beverages. These individuals ensure excellence at every position on the production line, helping us deliver the best products to our customers.The ideal candidate will be skilled, dependable, and excited to collaborate with like-minded, goal-oriented individuals.General Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections of packaging equipment and work areas.
- Report safety hazards or incidents to the Packaging Supervisor immediately.
- Participate in safety training and contribute to a culture of safety awareness.
- Assist with the setup, breakdown, and cleaning of bottling lines.
- Perform various roles on the packaging lines, ensuring product quality (e.g., correct caps, liquid levels, labels, secure boxes).
- Fill and clean kegs as needed.
- Perform daily cleaning and setup following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Mix case flavors as needed.
- Complete deep cleaning or special projects as required.
- Participate in training sessions on safety protocols, operational procedures, and compliance requirements.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities
- Follow GMP policies and encourage compliance among the team.
- Understand SQF policies, including pest control, allergen management, and cleaning/sanitation.
- Support the company's commitment to food safety and quality.
- Report food safety or quality issues to the Quality Assurance Manager for resolution and continuous improvement.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred but not required.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Ability to work collaboratively to meet production goals.
- Positive and team-oriented attitude.
- Flexibility for extended shifts, overtime, or changes in work hours based on business needs.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements
- 30-minute unpaid lunch break; two 15-minute paid breaks.
- Work environment includes crowded spaces, noise, dust, and extreme temperatures.
- Frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, and lifting.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds solo and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Awareness of forklift traffic and uneven, slippery surfaces.
