Duties of the p ackage t echnician:
- Inspect and pack product to quality specifications and standards
- Apply case labels and maintain proper numerical sequence of cases
- Use case taper to secure cases
- Verify material for disposal and regrind
- Remove tubs of recycling material from the production floor
- Follow dispatches and print work orders and labels
- Process skid and hold tags
- Conduct Oracle transactions as needed
- Identify and communicate quality deviations or nonconforming product
- Read product drawings and perform product measurements
Qualifications of the packaging technician :
- Experience as a machine operator or the willingness to learn
- Adherence to health and safety regulations including PPE
- Attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills
