Job DescriptionWe are currently hiring a Packaging Maintenance Technician- in Breinigsville, PA.This is a two-year assignment which will lead to a Maintenance Technician role if all of the necessary skills are attained. The Packaging Technician will be responsible for owning their skills progression to attain the Level 1 skill level. The Packaging Technician is responsible for maintaining Packaging machinery to ensure that quality standards are consistently met, the packaging lines meet efficiency standards, supporting brewery continuous improvement efforts, and for guiding Packaging Operators to optimal line performance. Packaging Technicians work with Packaging Operators to troubleshoot machine issues and work through all possible solutions prior to calling maintenance.Things you will Brew:•Maintaining, adjusting, cleaning, and performing minor repairs on equipment•Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturingpractices and standard operating procedures•Calibrate or adjust equipment to ensure quality production•Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products•Start up and shut down packaging equipment•Adjust machine components according to size or spec of product•Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature•Stop or reset machines when malfunctions occur, clear machine jams, and report malfunctions toa supervisor•May step in and help a teammate troubleshoot equipment when a line goes down or a machine ishaving consistent issues•Observe machine operations to ensure quality and conformity of filled or packaged products tostandards•Knows how to operate, read and set adjustments on the automated computer screens•Ensure that proper safety and sanitation measures are followed by instructing employees onproper company procedures and then monitoring personnel to make sure all procedures arebeing followed Physical Requirements •All production roles are required to pass a pre-employment physical exam to comply with their specific role requirement(s)•Certain roles may require the use of a respirator and passing the associated fit test•Ability to lift up to 50lbs, sometimes repeatedly•Regular walking and standing for long periods of time (up to 11 hours a day) on concrete, metal and grated surfaces•Responsibilities may require crouching, stepping over, crawling under, bending, twisting, climbing and reaching above head and shoulders repeatedly throughout the day•Responsibilities may require climbing flights of stairs, working from heights or on elevated platforms•Ability to wear assigned PPE (safety shoes, gloves, facemask, hearing protection and hard hat)•Established skill so you can handle materials, operate equipment and interface with computer systems with precision•Some roles (e.g., forklift operator) may be required to sit for a prolonged period and have strong peripheral vision and depth perceptionWhat Ingredients You'll Bring:Minimum Qualifications:•2 years of manufacturing experience in an operator or maintenance role required•In lieu of 2 years of applicable experience, an applicable technical degree will be considered•Solid mechanical aptitude•Excellent mechanical troubleshooting ability•Ability to be flexible and shift priorities in a constantly changing, fast-paced work environment•Competent in using Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPointHourly In accordance with pay transparency laws the pay rate for this role if hired is $30.12 per hour.
