This is a contract position lasting up to 90 days.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As our Packer, this individual will report to our Production Supervisor and will have overall responsibility for ensuring the safe, proper, and accurate picking and labeling of ELSCO products for shipment to customers in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Pack completed guides in boxes with appropriate literature and seal for storage in Finished Goods racking.

* Use hand and power tools to produce sub-assemblies and final assemblies as needed.

* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

* Safely operates the forklift and pallet jack to pull materials, replenish buffer order stock and fulfil outgoing orders.

* Serve as back-up to the Assembler positions as needed.

* Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB QUALIFICIATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Background and Skills Required:

* H.S. Diploma or equivalent.

* 2 years of related packing/shipping experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

* Basic data entry and computer skills (i.e., Excel, Word etc.).

* Ability to use hand and power tools.

* Ability to lift up to 35 - 50 lbs. repetitively and up to 70 lbs. with assistance.

* Ability to stand for up to 10 hrs./day.

* Ability to work overtime and/or alternative shift as required.

Additional Background and Skills Preferred:

* Related work experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Experience with Fed Ex & UPS Processing.

* Electric Pallet Jack/Forklift Experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

* Frequent Standing up to 75% of the time.

* Lifting 35-50 pounds repetitively.

* Repetitive wrist motion is used up to 100% of the time.

* Walking up to 25% of the time.

* Speaking up to 75% of the time.

* Hearing up to 75% of the time.

* Visual Acuity up to 100% of the time.
