What You'll Do as a Packer
- Pre-Shift Preparation:
- Ensure the gaylords are equipped with blue liners and that gray buckets are in place
- Verify that the work area is clean and free of leftover products from the previous shift
- Check that there are enough trays ready on the line; if not, communicate with the tray maker operator
- During Normal Operations:
- Packer #1 : take one tray and pack 6 packages at a time, allowing 6 packages to pass by; after packing 12 packages, pass the tray to Packer #2
- Packer #2 : pack 6 packages at a time into the tray; once 24 packages are packed, place the tray on the conveyor belt to send it to the ARPAC
- Inspect each package to ensure they are in good condition, properly sealed, with the print centered and the 'Best Before' date clearly readable
- If the line stops, retrieve unsealed packages and rework them
- Open the packages, remove and return the sachets to the dispenser area, place intact noodle cakes in the accumulation area, and dispose of the film in black liners
- Handling Exceptions:
- If the line is down, clean your work area
- After cleaning, rework non-conforming products in the gray gaylords by separating the film, sachets, and noodle cakes
- If noodle cakes are uncontaminated and in good shape, place them in blue bins for repacking
- Return good-condition sachets to the dispenser and collect film in a black liner to be weighed at the end of the shift
- If all tasks are completed, stay productive by cleaning additional areas; ask your supervisor for specific areas to focus on
- Perform other tasks as assigned
