INTRODUCTIONThis position assists with the movement of work in process (WIP) and finished product through press and finishing. Assists other operators by loading WIP into manufacturing machines, unloading, and packing finished product, making boxes, and loading skids.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCatch product after the printing, affixing, or shrink wrap processesVerify sequence numbers are correctAssemble empty boxes as neededVerify box count and package product per job ticketAssist Operators in locating productUnderstand and follow Quality Control requirements for each jobEnsure product data integrityMaintains clean and orderly workspaceFollows product flow instructionsPerforms other job duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMust be able to learn quickly and adapt to changeAble to work well in a team environmentDemonstrate knowledge of or ability to learn safety rules and procedures, and operating policies and proceduresAbility to communicate effectively with others.Must be able to maintain good attendanceMust be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periodsMust be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodationEDUCATIONHigh school diploma preferredSmurfit Westrock (NYSE:SW) is a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging solutions.
