Our client, a leader in the light industrial sector, is seeking a Packer to join their team. As a Packer, you will be handling a wide variety of products and materials.?The ideal candidate will have strong verbal communication skills, basic problem-solving abilities, and a team-oriented mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packer

Location: Chicago, IL (Bedford Park area)

Pay Range: $25.00 HourlyShift:?6pm-6:30am (Mon-Tue-Fri-Sat or?Sun-Wed-Thur)

What's the Job?

• Mark and label containers, container tags, or products using marking tools.
• Measure, weigh, and count products and materials to ensure accuracy.
• Load materials and products into package processing equipment.
• Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers, using hand tools.
• Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools.
• Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products to meet packing specifications.
• Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
• Remove completed or defective products or materials, placing them on moving equipment such as conveyors or in specified areas such as loading docks.
• Seal containers or materials using glues, fasteners, nails, and hand tools.

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or GED typically required.
• 2-4 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to lift heavy objects as required.
• Basic knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, and procedures.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
