Overview
Core Application Support
- Report problems
- Identify work arounds within software issues
- Open service tickets
- Issue escalations based on need (rad techs, cardio techs, etc)
- Support upgrades
- Perform database backups
- Define, implement, and manage the PACS platforms
- less often will be the cardio/hemo platforms
Workflow/Dataflow Based Support
- Monitor image routing
- Monitor image archiving
- Manage routine exception and error
- handling
- Assist sites with setting up image
- acquisition and image forwarding
- Run diagnostic and productivity
- reports
3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications
- PACS Administration experience
- Ability to troubleshoot radiology platforms
- Provide documentation
- Ability to perform database backups
- have some ability to administer troubleshooting and documentation of cardio/hemo platforms, or be able to be trained up to do so
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience using PACS systems
- Experience with Merge Cardio/Hemo and/or experience with Unity PACS is preferred
- most recently in an admin role, (configuring, execution, maintenance, operations of PACS hardware and software)
- someone that comes from a modality PACS technician role then moved into more of an IT Admin role would be a good background
- Preferably have been hands on with the Unity PACS product
- If they do not have Unity exposure, they will need to have exposure to another product (I.e. GE (Centricity), Philips, Sectra, Fujifilm Synapse, Change Healthcare, Carestream Vue, etc.)
- Preferably someone that has exposure to administration, routing and Data flow of cardio/hemodynamics systems
- this is a less critical part of the day to day role, about 30%
