PACU Staff Nurse, UHS Wilson Medical CenterUnited Health Services is seeking a PACU Staff Nurse to join our department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible.ShiftDayHours Per Week: 40Salary Range: $37.45 - $59.38 per hour, depending on experience.Overview**Up to $10k Sign-On Bonus**United Health Services, the largest and most comprehensive provider of healthcare services in upstate New York's Southern Tier, is hiring a Staff Registered Nurse, PACU to join our team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. The PACU is a very fast-paced and collaborative environment working with a wide variety of patient. PACU thrives on the rewarding feeling of working together as a team to manage patients' pain and see them improve rapidly!QualificationsSchedule: 8 hour shifts; weekends and holidays are on callEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Monitoring patients post anesthesia (drips, blood pressure, airways)
  • Keeping a close eye on vital signs and responding when needed
  • Assessing and managing pain levels
  • Educating and advocating for patients
Qualifications:
  • A valid RN license
  • Previous PACU, ICU, or Telemetry experience preferred
  • ACLS preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team
Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:
  • A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
  • Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
License/CertificationMinimum Required:
  • Current NYS RN License
Preferred:
  • Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
  • Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
