Furthermore, you'll be under the direction of a leadership team who actually practice what they preach and aren't afraid to get their hands dirty.As a HyerTek Business Development Research Associate Intern, you will work with company leadership to conduct market research and evaluate opportunities that drive pipeline development for our U.S. Federal Government business based in the Washington, DC Metro area.This position requires an individual who has a baseline understanding of business and technology that wants to learn more about both. Candidates will be required to come onsite at least one day per week to our metro-accessible Rockville, MD office. Expected hours are 14-16 per week.Responsibilities:
Research: - Support the sales team to conduct opportunity research to understand current market environment and trends, identify potential business opportunities, analyze competitive landscapes, and ultimately drive pipeline development.
- Update Capture portal with customer, competitor, and opportunity profiles to ensure HyerTek remains aware of new and updated information.
- Reporting:
- Assist in the compilation, analysis and reporting of business development performance metrics.
- Prepare reports and presentations to aid the progress of business development meetings.
- Collaborations:
- Attend and support proposal developments, presentations, and other relevant materials that support the company's business and positioning.
- Partner with proposal team members to support key bids, which may include task coordination, contributing to section development, help with data collection, and assist with reviews.
- Lead Generation:
- Prospecting for new leads and developing plans to identify and pursue business opportunities.
- Review new proposals that appear in HIreGov, GovTribe, and other procurement resources and tools.
- Relationship Management:
- Building and maintaining relationships with clients, partners, and industry professionals.Qualifications:
- Must be at least 3rd year undergraduate with a 3.0 or higher GPA. Majors, minors, or coursework in Business Administration, Information Systems or Computer Science preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services.
- Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.The schedule is flexible, although you must be in the Washington DC area.
