JOB SUMMARY:
The Paint Lead is responsible for assisting the team with day to day operations of the paint department to maximize quality output. The Paint Lead must be knowledgeable in all aspects of the department. This position also supports judgements regarding scheduling, work priorities, and material availability & quality; handling employee concerns; applying rational systems to solve practical problems; dealing with a variety of concrete variables with only limited standardization; and interpreting a variety of written, oral, diagrammatic, and/or schedule instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Ensure that all team members actions and processes meet specified production, safety and housekeeping requirements.
* Ensuring maximum production is met while meeting the highest quality standards.
* Offer guidance and coaching to improve team member performance through day-to-day feedback.
* Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards. Demonstrate best practices to follow all safe procedures in assembling and testing of all models/products in assigned job function.
* Responsible for lean initiatives and cost savings by ensuring reduction of waste, rework, or other non-value-added activity.
* Evaluate existing processes, listen to team member feedback, demonstrate understanding of standard, equipment, tools, and production flow to generate process improvement.
* Participate in root cause analysis of any existing quality issues.
* Continuously monitor production inputs and outputs to maximize daily team member manpower to meet production needs.
* Aid in identifying and resolution of any personnel issues, time and attendance, and elimination of daily issues; using the resources available, in order to allow the team to function at full capacity.
* Identify unsafe situations and provide solutions that prevent the occurrence of recordable incidents.
* Provide leadership and support for the continuous improvement of facility 6S program.
* Inspection of completed parts for quality, validate components meet.
* Team member has the knowledge and skills to perform in every area of the paint process. Assist training new team members on processes and equipment functions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Diploma or its equivalent.
* Experience of leadership in a manufacturing environment.
* Experience with electrostatic / air assist paint guns.
* Experience of performing all tasks within the department.
* Regular attendance is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associate or trade certificate(s) in a related to the job function
* Computer literate with Microsoft office
* Strong communication skills
* Interpersonal skill and a desire to inspire others
