About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Paint Line Operator to join our team. As a Paint Line Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our production process by performing quality checks and maintaining the paint line equipment and painted parts. Your attention to detail will be essential to the success of our manufacturing process. Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with painting and quality checks
- Ability to operate forklifts, hand tools, and pallet jacks
- Ability lift up to 50 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload parts onto fixtures, ensuring correct orientation and placement.
- Deliver parts to stations as required.
- Identify and categorize common defects such as dirt, blisters, scratches, and defective decals.
- Perform color matching and understand paint standards for each component.
- Assess parts to determine necessary repairs.
- Prepare and surfaces for paint application.
- Utilize hand tools (pneumatic and manual).
- Understand and adhere to current cosmetic zoning and standards.
- Operate RFID tracking systems for logging part throughput in the paint process.
- Follow detailed work instructions for using polishes and handling parts.
- Maintain knowledge of general paint line operations and customer-specific standards.
- Ensure safe handling of customer properties.
Skills: As a Paint Line Operator, you will use your skills in quality control, equipment operation, and team development on a daily basis. You will be responsible for ensuring that our production process meets our high standards, and that team members are trained and equipped to perform their duties to the highest standard.
