Paint Line Operator – Operator SAFETY:
- Understand and follow all safety procedures
- Current on all safety trainings
- Wears all required PPE when necessary (steel toe boots, safety glasses, ear plugs)
- Understand Lock Out Tag Out procedures for assigned areas.
- Perform duties according to OSHA guidelines, policies and procedures
- Complete General Plan Safety Training within the first 8 weeks.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
- Deliver totes from paint mixing to the paint kitchen as needed
- Changes out empty paint totes with full totes and add the correct amount of water to each tote
- Maintain all paint pumps and agitators at the paint kitchen
- Responsible for taking a paint sample for each new paint tote and recording the findings
- Monitors the paint flow at the paint stations
- Clean and change dirty spray nozzles
- Adjust paint spray gun (nozzles) in order to get the proper paint flow (spray) by turning appropriate valves on paint spray machines
- Maintain a constant flow of product on the production line at all times
- Safely removes dropped or broken boards from between the production lines
EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:
- Previous manufacturing experience
- Sprayers and nozzles
- Sponge roller
- Forklift certification
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and to push-pull up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to work long periods while continuously standing, twisting, bending, reaching, and stooping.
- Must be able to work environment which is dusty and noisy.
- Must be able to work in plant environment with extreme seasonal temperatures.
