Text 5DPP to (614) ###-#### to apply today!What You'll Do: As a Paint Prep Technician, you'll play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for the refinishing and reassembly process, ensuring each one looks its absolute best before it's ready to hit the road again. Your main responsibilities include:
- Carefully reviewing repair orders before starting the paint preparation process.
- Prepping vehicles by sanding and feather-edging surfaces, priming, edging, and blocking panels for refinishing.
- Masking all panels to protect from overspray and ensuring proper tapelines.
- Using the right amount of primer and following exact specifications to deliver a flawless paint job.
- Following all OSHA guidelines and using protective equipment, including respirators, to ensure safety.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to hazardous waste disposal protocols.
Who You Are:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- You're a clear communicator and enjoy working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- You have excellent problem-solving skills and take pride in delivering high-quality results.
- You hold a valid driver's license and are familiar with auto body refinishing processes.
- You're physically able to handle the demands of the job, including standing for long periods, lifting over 50 pounds, and performing repetitive tasks.
Physical Demands & Work Environment: This job requires stamina! You'll need to kneel, bend, and squat to complete tasks, as well as carry heavy objects and reach above or below shoulder level.
