In 1999, Kewaunee Fabrications joined the Oshkosh family and helps transform tomorrow with their innovative heavy fabrication capabilities.With a career at Kewaunee Fabrications, you can expect:Competitive Pay based on experience – starting rate $23.39 per hour.2nd & 3rd shift premium of $1.00 per hour.Wage increases every 6 months until top pay, and then annually.Comprehensive benefits package effective after 30 days.Medical, Pharmacy, Dental, Vision, Health Savings Account, Disability, Life Insurance, 401(k), pension, wellness programs, paid time off, paid holidays, stock purchase programs, employee discount program and more..Shift OverviewThis position is currently available for 2nd and 3rd shift.2nd Shift: Monday – Friday 3PM to 11PM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.3rd Shift: Sunday – Thursday 11PM to 7AM with paid lunch, voluntary overtime before or after shift.Essential FunctionsEfficiently performs manual labor requiring the use of hand-held or automated surface preparation equipment positioned at the proper angle to effectively remove oils/grease or other surface contaminants as preparation for protective coatings application.Assures washed surfaces are clean and uniform per visual profile/etch standards.Performs basic prime coat painting.Mixes and meters wash solutions to achieve customer requirements or Company standards.Will truck, handle or position materials.Every employee is expected to:Complete all required paperwork including labor reporting and documentation of quality control and material movement.Work safely and maintain the work area with high standards of housekeeping.Perform self-inspection and other required quality control functions at the employee's workstation.Perform required Preventive Maintenance activities on machinery and/or equipment operated.Train and/or assist in the development of personnel.Assist in the work in higher levels.Perform other duties as assigned by Supervision.Required QualificationsAbility to read and write with average mechanical skills.Requires moderate supervisory direction.Lifting requirements:Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
