Job Description:

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Process Planner Engineer for our Paint Shop. The candidate will be responsible for the independent planning and project support of paint shop-specific equipment and racks needed for the integration of two vehicle models into the paint shop.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering and Prototype Jigs and Fixtures, Exchange Parts Carrier (PTED)
  • Creation of tooling concept including coordination with the customer
  • Write RFQ for Exchange Parts Carrier to market, bid comparison, POR
  • Control production of prototype tooling and exchange parts carrier
  • Supervision of tryout/testing as part of pre-series production
  • Checking and approval of the CAD data and workshop drawings (Catia)
  • Acceptance for exchange parts carrier
  • Preparation of specifications for serial tooling deliveries (Phase 2)
  • SOP/Production Jigs and Fixtures
  • SOR, POA, support nomination
  • Preliminary acceptance, if necessary, also at the supplier
  • Coordination of delivery of serial tooling equipment
  • Delivery tracking including creation of delivery curves and status reports
  • Coordination of changes and optimizations with the supplier
  • Acceptance support through occupational safety and vehicle maintenance

Qualifications

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in: Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and precision in planning and execution.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities and requirements.
  • Professional experience in an engineering-oriented environment with a manufacturing setting, with strong emphasis on paint shop equipment, tooling, project management and strong hands-on capabilities.
