TSE International designs and manufactures conductor-handling equipment for use in the construction and maintenance of electrical transmission and distribution lines, and telecommunications/fiber optic projects.
**POSITION SUMMARY**
This position is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. Perform engineering design evaluations and participate in the development of new products.
**DUTIES**
* Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications
* Provide preliminary engineering calculations, specifications, sketches and layouts for job estimation
* Prepare concept and design drawings with supporting calculations and material data
* Provide support in checking details, assemblies and bill of material for projects
* Confer with engineers and other personnel to resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information
* Work with manufacturing and engineering teams to provide cost effective solutions to performance problems
* Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects
* Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
* Apply fundamental engineering principles along with advanced analytical techniques throughout the new product design process
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications
**Education/Experience**
* Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering Required
* Knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics and electrical components
