  • Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of product prior to painting or sandblasting.
  • Perform blasting and spray-painting functions and preparatory undercoating.
  • Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as blast pots, air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns and respirators.
  • Ensure coatings are painted according to NOV paint specifications or customer requirements.
  • Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.
  • Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
  • Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations.
  • Under general supervision, spray paint small and large component parts prior to assembly and final coating.
  • Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean & organized work area, utilize safe work habits.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years' experience in industrial blasting and painting
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to pass a drug screen & background check.
  • Must be willing & able to work overtime as required - Overtime may be required during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
  • Able to work well in a team environment as well as self-directed when working independently.
  • Willingness to comply with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties.
  • Ability to multitask in fast paced environment.
  • Factory environment with large range in temperature changes.
  • Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend/stoop, push/pull and repetitive movement up to 12 hours daily.
