Responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs of all assigned painting and building maintenance. Repairs all painting, drywall, and carpentry throughout the community. Works closely with the Facilities Manager to identify areas of concern and assists in identifying solutions. Supports the facility team to function successfully across Collington and Kendal operations in conjunction with the Facilities Manager.

  • Maintains painting tools and equipment, parts, and supplies by performing ongoing preventative maintenance; timely follow up on service calls and the closing of work orders tickets
  • Make on-site preparations for covering fixtures, windows, doors, etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (caulk)
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tool
  • Adhere to all health and safety precautions and partner with the facility team to establish and maintain regulatory requirements.
  • Able to use appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns, etc.)
  • Supports the facility department by helping to keep track of work orders; communicates concerns promptly and partners with the facility team to ensure regulatory requirements are established and maintained.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, stand for extended periods and reach high places using ladders or scaffolding.
  • Assists in maintaining an attractive facility.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Perform drywall repairs and painting.
  • Prep surfaces for painting and repair.
  • Mixing and matching paint, stain, and other finishes to job specifications.

Salary: Starting at $25.55 per hour based on experience.
