**Description**
**ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
Ensure the correct paint is used
Clean and media blast parts to prepare the surface
Spray prepared surfaces with specified amounts of primer and decorative or finish coatings
Touch up spots that may have been missed
Adjust controls on infrared ovens, heat lamps, portable ventilators and exhaust units to speed drying between coats
Determine the proper equipment and tools needed to perform a task
Follow standard operating procedures and properly care for tools and equipment
Follow standard operating procedures when using sealants, paint strippers and corrosion-preventive chemicals
Use protective equipment as required
Coordinate with Management and Inspectors to ensure compliance with FAA and internal quality standards
Research and understand FAA technical data relevant to assigned tasks
All work must meet strict FAA regulations and company requirements
**QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS**
High School Diploma or an equivalent
Familiarity and knowledge of how to use tools
Attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multi-task
Proficient in the English language
**PHYSICAL ABILITIES**
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Visual color discrimination
Stand for extended periods of time
Bend, twist, stretch or reach with body, arms and/or legs
