In this fast-paced, high energy environment where attention to detail is essential, how do we ensure our facilities appearance is kept up and looking good. As a Maintenance Painter, you will assist in maintaining the interior and exterior of the casino, and ensuring all safety policies, procedures, and regulations are followed. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

  • Mix and match paints, stains, varnishes, and enamels for use on building interiors and exteriors, furniture, concrete, and other materials; scrape, sand, and fill nail holes and cracks; assemble scaffolding; apply wall coverings; and paint surfaces with brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Assist in a variety of building maintenance service and repairs, including but not limited to carpentry, flooring, modifications, restoration work, and rebuilding throughout the casino property as assigned.
  • Install, repair, and maintain drywall, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
  • Ensure proper care, use, and maintenance of equipment and supplies including the proper disposal of paints, stains, and other hazardous materials. Follow appropriate Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA) safety procedures; report any unsafe work conditions to supervisor.
  • Estimate time and material needed to complete projects; record time and materials used.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) software system to assign and track work orders and periodic maintenance tasks.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory stock by arranging for the purchase of necessary supplies, materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Research proper maintenance procedures and processes, and incorporate into the casino preventative maintenance program.
  • Monitor the work of contract painters and technicians as assigned by management.
  • Coordinate with Carpentry Supervisor and/or Manager any repairs or maintenance that cannot be done during regular working days and schedule as necessary to complete.
  • Perform job duties in full compliance with departmental Internal Controls, policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Job Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a related apprenticeship are preferred. Two years of skilled, commercial painting experience is required.
  • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and general knowledge of computers.
  • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  • The ability to interact with customers and team members professionally.
  • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk, hear, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stand, sit, and move for the duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally, with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Working Conditions

    The noise level is usually moderate to loud. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases. The facility is not smoke free. While performing the duties of this job, the team member occasionally works at heights. The team member is occasionally exposed to outdoor weather conditions, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme temperatures.
