Responsibilities:

* Provides support for technical issues. Identifies, researches and resolves routine technical problems of low complexity.

* Technicians are responsible for producing liquid samples by following a formulation recipe in the blending of paint samples. Typical sample sizes are pint to 1 quart. Occasionally, 5 gallon pails must be produced as needed for internal and external equipment trials.

* Application and preparation of coated wood, vinyl, or fiberglass samples by following application process sequence as directed.

* Physical property testing of coated samples including adhesion, abrasion resistance, stain/chemical resistance, scratch resistance, gloss retention, etc.

* Color matching on wood substrates using stains and/or with opaque systems.

Requirements:

* High school diploma/GED

* 0-3 years related experience

* Two years of college level math and science or equivalent experience desirable, but not required.
